Automobile Engineering Department

Automobile Engineering offers extensive variety of opportunities for the candidates and it includes production plants, automobile manufacturing industries, service stations, private transport companies, state road transport corporations, motor vehicle departments, insurance companies etc. We provide the opportunity to our students to enhance their skill in the field of Automobile.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

PEO1
Impart knowledge with strong foundation in Automobile engineering that helps the students to solve practical problems.

PEO2
For building a successful career in the fields of Automobile manufacturing, road transportation, automobile marketing, after sales service and vehicle maintenance.

PEO3
For building students career as socially responsible citizen for adopting green technologies as modern vehicle technologies to use resources in sustainable manner.

Program Outcomes (POs)

NBA has defined the following seven POs for an Engineering diploma graduate:

i) Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.

ii) Problem analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.

iii) Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.

iv) Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.

v) Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.

vi) Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.

vii) Life-long learning: Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.

PSO1
Apply their knowledge in the domains of production, fluid power and thermal engineering to solve engineering problems.

PSO2
Managing automobile diagnostics and servicing: Manage and operate service related jobs using computerized diagnostic tools/equipment with minimum lead time for customers at cost effective manner.

PSO3
Modern transportation management tools: Manage transportation related problems using modern software's and traffic management techniques.
